Queen to miss Brum's Games

THE Queen will miss this summer's Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, with Prince Charles being lined up to represent her, it has emerged.
Senior figures involved with the event revealed yesterday that due to her increasing frailty the 96-year-old monarch, who is also Head of the Commonwealth, is not expected to attend.
The news comes as Charles welcomed guests at a reception in Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Commonwealth Diaspora of the United Kingdom yesterday.
