Woman targeted by Emma's killer reveals missing pages held lists of danger clients
THE Beware Book seized during the Emma Caldwell murder probe may have contained the names of top public officials.
That's the claim from a former victim of Iain Packer who is serving a life sentence for the murder of Emma and the rape and sexual assault of 22 other women.
The Beware Book was a diary kept at the Base 75 drop-in centre in Glasgow for women involved in prostitution in which they put the names and details of dangerous clients, including car registrations.
An anonymous victim of Packer, who wants to be known as Claire, believes the names of civil servants, senior police and lawyers were in the book.
She says there were other similar Beware Books over the years but doesn't know what happened to them or the one seized by police.
When asked if there were police names in the Beware Book, Claire said: "Of sorts. That's definitely a fact. You do something for police officers, you won't get to jail.
"There was like a lot of bad things in that book. But the police were always in Base 75.
