Millions of self-employed Brits and landlords will soon have to get used to a new way of reporting their tax. All VAT-registered businesses have been required to use Making Tax Digital since 2022 - but from April 2026, more people will be required to comply with the rules. Making Tax Digital is essentially a new way for you to manage tax records digitally and submit updates to HMRC.
