Complaint lodged over movie star McGregor's £2m mansion
HOLLYWOOD star Ewan McGregor is being probed by council chiefs after a complaint was made about work being carried out on his £2million mansion.
Planning bosses have launched an investigation after receiving a report about "unauthorised" building work on the listed 18th-century home in the Carse of Gowrie, Perthshire.
The 52-year-old Star Wars and Trainspotting actor completed the purchase of the sprawling mansion last year.
Perth and Kinross Council has received a written complaint about "alleged unauthorised alterations to a listed building" and is looking into the matter.
Residents in the Carse of Gowrie have confirmed seeing evidence of renovations at the property taking place over recent months.
