FEARS PAYOUTS COULD HIT THE SKIDS

DOUBTS are creeping in over whether a car finance scandal payout scheme will actually work.
City watchdog the Financial Conduct Authority announced on Sunday it will consult on a redress scheme over car dealers who were paid hidden commissions. It followed a crunch ruling from the Supreme Court on Friday.
Drivers who took out personal contract purchase (PCP) or hire purchase agreements before 2021 could be eligible for compensation.
