February 14, 2026

A COUNCIL tax rise of 5.22% has been confirmed in Denbighshire for 2026-27.

The planned increase was rubber-stamped on Thursday.Denbighshire Council said it had little option but to hike tax payments as it continues to wrestle with “significant” financial pressures.

Higher taxes will ensure the authority is not forced to cut services, said Cllr Delyth Jones, lead member for finance: “We have focused on efficiencies, income generation and transforming how services operate.”
