TRUCKS AT SHOPPING AREAS PUT PEOPLE AT RISK SAYS COUNCILLOR

Port's lorry parking 'a danger to public'

THE “dangers” to pedestrians posed by large lorries parking on shop car parks at the port of Holyhead are being raised by an Anglesey councillor.

The Parc a'r Mynydd Councillor Robert Llewelyn Jones is urging “action” before “an accident or worse” happens.

Severe weather over the winter, he says, has made the situation worse in the town.

He is due to submit questions at the island’s next full council meeting over the large vehicles which stop in the area on their journey through Holyhead to the ferry and onwards to Ireland.
