ARMY REVEALS WHY BOMB SQUAD WAS CALLED TO TOWN

THE army has issued an update ona “suspicious item” found at acharity shop which sparked an emergency response.

The bomb squad was called to the Barnardo’s charity shop in Llanrwst on Tuesday after the item was discovered.
Officers from North Wales Police and the fire service were also called to the scene. Items at the scene were examined and found to be commercial fireworks.
An Army spokesperson said: “We can confirm that an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team from Chester Troop, 521 EOD Squadron, 11 EOD&$ Regiment RLC, responded to Barnardo's charity shop in Llanrwst on 18 November 2025, following a request from North Wales Police.
