'Baywatch' reboot promises new cast, classic vibes

THE original Baywatch aired from 1989 to 2001.

Nearly three decades after its iconic run, Baywatch is returning to our screens with a modern reboot, and the first-look photos have finally hit the internet.

Packed with a mix of familiar faces, social media stars, and just enough nostalgia to hook both Boomers and Gen Z, the reboot is shaping up to be a sun-drenched spectacle of drama, abs, and, of course, slow-motion running.

But can this new lifeguard crew make waves, or will it sink like a poorly executed rescue?

Leading this updated crew of Los Angeles County lifeguards is none other than Arrow star Stephen Amell, who takes on the role of Hobie Buchannon, the grownup son of David Hasselhoff’s legendary Mitch Buchannon.
