Mum killed by falling branch pushed daughter to safety
A HEROIC mother pushed her five-year-old daughter out of the way before being killed by a falling branch from a tree.
Madia Kauser, 32, saved her child, believed to be in a buggy, as the large branch fell during a family walk on Monday evening.
The girl escaped unhurt but her mother took the full impact.
Mrs Kauser's husband Wasim Khan, 33, was yards ahead with their nine-year-old son and was powerless to act as the tragedy happened at Witton Country Park in Blackburn, Lancs.
