Telly footie city Wrex its rivals in hol stakes

WREXHAM has become a bigger draw for visitors than the Cotswolds thanks to Ryan Reynolds buying the city's football team.

January bookings surged by 184% compared with the same period last year, says outdoor accommodation booking site Pitchup.

It eclipsed tourism favourites including the Cotswolds and Cornwall.

And it makes the Welsh City Britain’s fastest-growing holiday destination at the start of 2026.
