Teachers waste hours as kids not toilet trained

TEACHERS waste 1.4 hours a day changing nappies and tackling the accidents of kids in reception not toilet trained, a report says.

Some 37% of children started reception without basic skills last year, charity Kindred Squared found.

It said primary school staff reported 28% of kids turned up unable to eat and drink independently, 25% struggled with basic language skills and 26% were not toilet trained, rising to 36% in the North East.
