Parker calls for 'laser focus' as win puts Clarets on brink of Prem

SCOTT PARKER called for "laser focus" after the Battle of Good Friday left Burnley on the brink of glory.

Victory against promotion rivals Sheffield United on Monday at Turf Moor will clinch a return to the penthouse - but the Clarets had to survive nine-man Watford's resistance.

In the Vicarage Road madhouse, Hornets had skipper Moussa Sissoko and midfielder Edo Kayembe who could have had a first half hat-trick - sent off in the space of eight minutes in the second period.

And in an eccentric performance, referee Matt Donohue went from letting everything go for 45 minutes to distributing 11 cards like a casino croupier.

After the Clarets struggled to put the Hornets away, boss Parker said: "It didn't feel like a game with 11 cards for large periods.
