UNDERSTANDABLY David Lammy is feeling the heat over the mistaken release of two villains back into the community.

While receiving much publicity, it has been said this occurrence is not as rare as it should be. Complicated and confusing paperwork leads to the wrong information being passed on to prisons, putting the public at risk and meaning justice is not served.

The Justice Secretary needs to address this as a matter of urgency.

Diane Silva, Bournemouth

No wonder David Lammy did not answer Tory MP James Cartlidge's repeated question on how many more prisoners were wrongly released from prison at Prime Minister's Questions.

Instead of blaming the last government for their failings, this government should get its own house in order.

Alan Gill, Widnes, Cheshire

Robert Jenrick is unbelievable, showing a complete disregard for the fact it was his government's mismanagement for 14 years that is causing current problems.
