HIRUKA Sahanmith and Vidara Vidanage clinched the Men's and Women's Open titles at the Summer Season All-Island Open Championships 2025, which concluded at the Municipal Council Indoor Stadium in Nuwara Eliya, held from 21 to 27 April.

Sahanmith got the better off Thenuka de Silva in straight sets to claim the Men's Open Singles title, while Vidanage had to starve off an energised Nethmi Ratnayake in the Women's Open Singles final, before recording a thrilling 2-1 win.

Oshamika Karunarathna and Thulith Palliyaguru teamed up to defeat Resintha de Silva and Thenuka de Silva, who was two time unlucky, to pocket the Men's Open Doubles title in straight sets, while seasoned pair Isuri Attanayaka and Sithumi de Silva beat Sanadi de Silva and Vidara Vidanage in thrilling fashion to claim the Women's Open Doubles title, following their success of winning the Girls' Under-17 Doubles title earlier on. Alan Kristanto and Varangana Jayawardena staged a refined comeback to outsmart Madhuka Dulanjana and Anurangi Masakorala on their way to win the Mixed Open Doubles title.

Janeesha de Silva emerged victorious after recording a straight win against Hiruka Sahanmith in the Boy's Under-19 Singles final, while Anuthmi Sooriyabandara was given a stiff competition by Thiseja Herath in the Girl's Under-19 Singles final, before earning a 2-1 win. After being levelled at the second set Nethil Thewmika and Maneth Wijegunawardana made a remarkable recovery to beat Haneesha Kulathunga and Danusankha Sathruwa and claim the Boys' Under-19 Doubles title.
