MANCHESTER CITY winger Savinho believes Pep Guardiola's side have sent a message that they are ready to be crowned world champions again.

In-form City thrashed Juventus 5-2 in their final group match to make it 13 goals scored across their three games before reaching the knockout stage.

It has put them in great spirits before their last-16 clash against Al Hilal in Orlando, which will be played in the early hours of tomorrow morning UK time.

A potential all-English showdown with Chelsea in the semi-final is looming and Savinho says City's displays have got them believing they can go all the way.

City won the Club World Cup in its old guise in December 2023, beating Brazilian side Fluminense in the final in Jeddah.
