£100m spending cap is bad news for United hopes

ERIK TEN HAG won’t be able to spend more than £100million in this summer window – unless Manchester United sell players to bolster their kitty.

£100m spending cap is bad news for United hopes

That’s because their budget has been squeezed by Financial Fair Play restrictions.

United posted promising financial results yesterday with third-quarter figures projecting that full year revenues will hit a record £630-640m. Revenue is up 11 per cent to £170m for the three months ending March 31.

United have cash to spend in the market as Ten Hag looks to bring in midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea, plus a striker and potentially a keeper and a defender.
