Suspect in teacher killing arrested after manhunt

A 29-YEAR-OLD man suspected of murdering a teacher and attempting to murder two other victims in Vhembe, has been arrested following a lengthy manhunt.
The suspect was apprehended on Thursday at his hideout in Vyeboom village under the Vuwani policing area. He faces charges of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
The charges stem from a shooting that occurred in the early hours of October 11 last year at Thengwe Matshetshete village in the Mutale policing area. According to police, a 26-year-old female teacher and her 69-year-old aunt were returning from an all-night prayer service when they were attacked while boarding a minibus taxi.
