The district administration and police have set up checkpoints at seven key locations to curb illegal transportation of animals, maintaining 24hour surveillance.

These measures are being implemented under the leadership of Khammam Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt. Checkposts have been established at Paladugu (Wyra), Baswa puram Cross Road (Konijarla), Hanuman Tanda (Kalluru), Venkata giri Cross Road (Khammam Rural), Sublaid Cross Road (Tirumalaya palem), Paleru Singareni palli Plaza (Kusumanchi), and Vallabhi (Mudigonda).
