Coming down heavily on the Congress government for failing to keep its promises, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao on Thursday wrote an open letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, demanding that adequate funds be allocated in the 2026-27 Budget for implementing the six guarantees and 420 promises made by the Congress during the 2023 Assembly elections.

Stating that nearly half of the Congress government's term had already elapsed, Rama Rao said about 95 per cent of the promises remained unfulfilled and urged the government to allocate funds at least in the forthcoming Budget. Telangana society would not tolerate further delay if allocations were not made this time, he said.
