Woman's body found in suitcase dumped in pond

A 34-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after the body of a woman was discovered inside a suitcase in a pond near a dumping site in the maize-growing area of Maletswai in the Eastern Cape.
According to the SAPS, the gruesome discovery was made on Sunday, when a young boy and his friends came across the suitcase.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana says officers arrived at the scene and called emergency services, who confirmed that the woman had died.
