St Neots' Williams leads the line in first-half onslaught

MAN-OF-THE-MATCH Harvey Williams scored a brace as St Neots Town secured an impressive 4-2 away win at Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

St Neots led 4-0 after 45 minutes and although they conceded two goals after the break - the second seven minutes into added time - they never looked anything but deserved and convincing winners.
Manager Cameron Mawer was delighted with his side, describing the performance as “immense” and pointing out that it was ten of his side that had lifted the UCL Championship shield almost six months earlier.
“They have shown they are capable of competing at the higher level,” Mawer said.
He made just one team change from the midweek victory over AFC Rushden & Diamonds, restoring Charlie Bowen to the heart of the defence in place of Harvey Henderson, who was on the bench.
From the first whistle the visitors were in charge of proceedings.
After just seven minutes, Williams outpaced his marker to fire a low shot past the home keeper, and little was seen of the home attack apart from a shot blocked by a defender.
