ROYSTON ARE THRASHED AFTER THEIR FIRST WIN FOR TEN MATCHES
ROYSTON Town were unable to follow up their first win in ten matches on Tuesday night as they were thrashed 6-1 at Needham Market in Southern League Premier Central.
The Crows made the trip to Needham on the back of a 1-0 success over Stratford Town thanks to Archie Locke's 35th minute goal.
However, on Tuesday, the home side were 3-0 up after 39 minutes thanks to goals from Kyle Hammond, Luke Ingram and Joe Neal. Will St Clair-Burton pulled a goal back for Chris Watters' side three minutes before the interval to give them some hope.
However, that was extinguished in the 72nd minute as the hosts hit two goals in a minute through Max Appauh and Neal once more to put the game to bed at 5-1 before Ollie Saunders added a sixth seven minutes from time.
