Bill can hit the bull on step back up in grade for Kirby

The Coulsty colt was only beaten a length at 50-1 in the National Stakes at the Esher circuit, after leading for much of the way and only surrendering his lead in the final half-furlong.

He then had his sights lowered in a maiden at Bath and went on to strike at the fourth time of asking, making all and running on to win by the best part of three lengths.

Black type is now there for the taking as he steps back up in grade to Listed level.

Sallaal can strike in stakes company for the first time in the Davies Insurance Solutions Gala Stakes.
