PLAYERS at a community football project are aiming to raise awareness and money for men’s mental health by taking part in a tournament hosted at Burton Albion.

'We're taking every avenue we can to spread the word'

Joe Evans set up All About Football after he was told he wasn’t fit or skilled enough to join teams.

Now his project, where everyone is welcome to play, has seen 90 players join since its launch.

In a next step for All About Football, Joe is taking a team to the Burton Albion Tournament hosted at the Pirelli Stadium on May 9.

Joe said he is taking the opportunity to raise awareness for men’s mental health as well as money to set up a Burton chapter of Andy's Man Club, which offers free to attend peer-to-peer support groups.

He said: "The nearest Andy's Man Club is in Derby, and perhaps the people who need the service the most don’t feel like travelling out of their comfort zone.
