COUNTY COUNCIL WELCOMES GOVERNMENT'S EDUCATION REPORT
-
STAFFORDSHIRE County Council has welcomed a new Government report into provision for special educational needs and disabilities.
A new Education Select Committee report has outlined what changes should and shouldn't be made to SEND in schools.
Staffordshire’s education leader Janet Higgins has largely welcomed the changes but said the Government's proposals for change need to be ‘bold and wide-ranging’.
With demand for support outstripping budgets at councils across the country, Staffordshire County Council has previously called for substantial changes to funding, assessment and how provision is delivered.
