Marvel at the reel of fortune

THERE are certain things I've come to appreciate more as I've got older.
-
For example, these days I very much enjoy making groaning sounds (“oooh”, “ahah”, even the occasional “oomph”) when I rise from a chair or bend down. I’m not in pain, it’s just a strangely satisfying habit I’ve developed.
Similarly, I've started to enjoy visiting our local garden centre. I don’t really do gardening, so I rarely buy much, but I do like to look at the lovely plants, flowers, shrubs, that kind of gubbins. I even have an app on my phone that lets me show it a plant and, in seconds, will tell me what it’s called.
