MOORS v HARTLEPOOL

- By COLIN STONER

IT'S a passion which begun when he was just eight years old but Scott High says joining Solihull Moors has rekindled his unfiltered love of football.

The all-action midfielder has been an ever-present mainstay since becoming boss Chris Millington's first signing since when he took over as Moors manager in October.

Such has been the 25-year-olds's impact that an initial loan move from Barnet has turned into a permanent deal - and the Yorkshireman couldn't be happier.

The chance to link up again with Millington and No2 Andy Cooper, having worked together in taking FC Halifax to the playoffs last term, was an immediate attraction, and more importantly, the chance to play games. Just like the schoolboy who came through the ranks at Huddersfield Town.

"I'm really enjoying it," said High. "I feel I'm playing some of my best football.

"I came on loan to start with but after the first few weeks, the first month, with the gaffer and Coops it was a no-brainer to move here on a permanent basis because I was enjoying it that much. Every footballer says they want to play games and that's what I'm getting with Milly and Coops. I can't complain.

"He's really brought my enjoyment back out in football so I've got quite a lot to thank him for.
