Oil Market Outlook
Bangkok Post
|September 29, 2025
Oil prices rose on supply concerns as mounting pressure on Russia to end its war in Ukraine muddies the outlook for exports, even as data showed that Russian crude exports by sea in August reached a 16-month high of 3.62 million barrels per day.
-
Analysts said the figures suggested that Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian energy infrastructure were having less impact than expected.
Prices were also supported by concerns that Russian incursions into Polish and Estonian airspace could extend the Ukraine conflict to European neighbours.
Tensions are also rising in the Middle East after several Western nations formally recognised a Palestinian state, prompting an aggressive response from Israel.
