Marketeers have simple choices

First however, there is the “free download”, this means you can download it for free, install and run it. After that, things may not be free at all. This is to be expected as advertising is one of the few ways to make any income from the games being played by millions of people across the planet.That said, much of the marketing follows a similar path. Be it clearing a screen of arrows, or cars, or hoards of attackers in a corridor, or solving word puzzles, or saving a king from all manner of threats, or joining dots between two points without them crossing, the demo player always makes incredibly poor choices and typically fails. From a psychology viewpoint, this makes some sense. You as the watcher can see better choices and want to demonstrate this to the game, so may download, play it and watch some ads.

Others may see this and conclude the game is not going to be any kind of challenge or may not even be solvable, so will not grab it. Since they keep using the same marketing, I guess the majority fall into the earlier category.
