The government has introduced five relief measures for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) affected by the US tariff conflicts, aided by government spokesman Sasikarn Wattanachan yesterday, will be implemented through the Export-Import Bank (Thailand)(Exim Bank), a state run financial institution under the Finance Ministry.

Govt measures to help soften blow on smaller businesses

About 3,700 Thai SMEs are expected to be hit by the US tariff measures, affecting export value worth US$3 billion, she said, citing the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion.

However, measures will be in place to help SMEs cope with the new US tariff policy.

The measures include an “Export Clinic” to offer financial support and advisory services for importers and exporters facing difficulties.
