It was in 2016 that Richard Mille and McLaren joined forces in a partnership that would turn the worlds of horology and automotive engineering on its head.

While you might expect such a collaboration between a watchmaker and car manufacturer to be more symbolic than substantive, rooted in a sense of shared aesthetics or perhaps more superficial ideals, that is simply not the way Richard Mille or McLaren do things. No, any partnership that doesn't offer tangible value or doesn't share the relentless pursuit of perfection that characterises both brands is, simply put, dead weight.

In an industry where fractions of a second or a stray millimetre could make all the difference, neither side can afford to take on passengers. As the brilliant innovators driving both brands know firsthand, merely staying in motion is never enough. To remain ahead requires a near-Sisyphean drive-except that while Sisyphus never reaches the top, McLaren and Richard Mille make it there ... and then turn their eyes towards the next peak.
