Hopping across the pond to Hong Kong gives PRESTIGE a first-hand look at two of Omega's newest boutiques.

A GRAND TIME

It’s surprisingly sunny in Hong Kong when I visit in the early winter for a first-hand look at Omega’s two newest flagship boutiques. No complaints, of course, as I’m cruising along Victoria Harbour and basking in the sunshine. It’s a perfect day for lunch on a luxury yacht ... and for a flagship store opening. In true Omega fashion, the nautical machine docks mere steps from the impressive new storefront that faces a billion-dollar view. We also arrive to hordes of people eagerly anticipating the arrival of Korean superstar Han So Hee, one of Omega’s global ambassadors. But first, a tour.

Of all the sleek and contemporary finishings, the most standout feature of the multi-level f lagship is a larger-than-life golden statue of an astronaut; obviously an homage to Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon who also made an Omega Speedmaster the first watch ever worn on the moon. Facing and in full view from the harbour, he stands as a shining beacon of the beauty, precision, and craftsmanship in store. That’s not to say the space feels stuffy; far from it, in fact.
