Take some time out during August to enjoy all that your garden has to offer
-
For many, August is the month to take a break from work and make the most of the summer weather. This may entail going on holiday, which might mean leaving your garden to fend for itself, or staying at home and enjoying lazy days in your own green sanctuary.
If a helpful neighbour isn't on hand to water while you are away, move pots out of the sun, group them together in the shade and give them a thorough soaking. Solar-powered irrigation systems are another option if moving your containers is impractical.
