For a colourful spring display that delivers on blooms, there is no better planting method than lasagna planting. This involves carefully layering your bulbs on top of each other in two or more layers to emerge at different points throughout the season, creating a full and lush pot bursting with flowers. Simply plant your late-flowering bulbs first, layering them with smaller bulbs until you reach the top of the pot. Top with a winter annual to fill in the space or simply leave the soil open for green growth to emerge in spring.
