Sticky Hoisin Beef

This dish has all the flavours you would expect from your favourite Chinese - think sweet and sticky hoisin, aromatic Chinese 5-spice, garlic and ginger, as well as a little kick from the sriracha. A family favourite.

INGREDIENTS

For the sauce

6 tbsp hoisin sauce

1 tbsp sriracha

¼ tsp Chinese 5-spice

¼ tsp chilli flakes (optional)

2 tsp rice wine or white wine vinegar 125ml water

For the stir-fry

2 x sirloin steak, (approx. 450g), thinly sliced

3 tbsp cornflour

¼ tsp fine salt

Neutral oil, to fry

1 onion, sliced
