Having developed an appreciation of beautiful surrounds from a young age, the ABI Interiors co-founder and designer has found her calling.
-
Growing up, my parents always prioritised living in a beautiful, safe area. We were surrounded by lush greenery and often near water. This environment instilled in me a deep appreciation for beauty and comfort in a space. As a result, I’ve always sought to create and be in spaces that evoke the same feelings of tranquillity and aesthetic pleasure, which has greatly influenced my career direction.
An average day for me is quite dynamic. It usually involves a mix of scheduled meetings and impromptu conversations with team members from various departments. My role requires creative oversight across the business, which includes product development, brand management, and showroom design. This diverse range of tasks keeps my days interesting and challenging.
While working, I prefer music without lyrics as it helps me concentrate better. My go-to choices are often jazz instrumentals or cinematic soundtracks. These genres provide a soothing backdrop that enhances my focus and creativity.
One of my most significant challenges was learning to manage and mentor others at a young age without much personal or professional experience.
