The charm of Amelia and Grant Sutton's beachside house in Cape Town harks back 50 years - it was built by a Sardinian who put down roots in South Africa after the Second World War. When the pair first saw it, they loved the feel of the house but knew that to turn it into a family home suitable for them and their children, Noah, 11, and Bella, eight, they would need to open it up and give it a free-flowing feel.
