Shelly Mattes is a 55-year-old medical entrepreneur, cancer survivor, fitness bikini champion, and international cover model who embodies strength, perseverance, and the power of giving back.

Cancer Survivor SHELLY MATTES ON HER VICTORIES

Married for 32 years to her husband, John, Shelly is a proud mother of two daughters, Kennedy and Margo. Kennedy, a Princeton University graduate, will soon begin her studies at Harvard Law, while Margo, currently a sophomore at Princeton, follows in her footsteps. A graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science, Shelly started her career in pharmaceutical sales before founding her own modeling agency, Models by Trade.

Today, she and her husband are the owners of Outpatient Radiology Imaging Centers, which specializes in MRIs, CT scans, and PET scans for cancer patients. Shelly is also a passionate advocate for children in the foster care system, serving as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Through this role, she fights for the rights of vulnerable children, working to create a brighter future for them. A true believer in the power of collaboration, Shelly has spent the last decade working out with her good friend, Linda Mitchell, owner of Sisterhood of Sweat in Mason, Ohio. Their partnership highlights the importance of working together toward shared goals and dreams, proving that together, we can go further. Life’s challenges have only made Shelly stronger.

imageAfter surviving cancer, she became an award-winning fitness competitor and international fitness cover model. Shelly's journey has taught her to embrace every obstacle, celebrate every victory, and inspire others to chase their dreams, no matter their age. Her mission is to raise well-adjusted, happy, healthy, and motivated daughters, and to be an example to others that it's never too late to follow your passions. Through her work, she seeks to empower generations to come, giving back and lifting others up to help them succeed. Shelly's story is one of resilience, strength, and the unwavering belief that we are stronger together.
