Create meals that nourish your body and satisfy your tastebuds with these recipes from Emily English
Nutritionist and No.
1 Sunday Times bestselling author Emily English - more commonly known online as Em the Nutritionist (instagram.com/emthenutritionist) - loves to marry the science of nutrition with the joy of eating. Spending her childhood summers in her granny’s restaurant kitchen, and her school terms in the chemistry lab, English’s curiosity grew for what was on her plate and what was happening inside our bodies.
It wasn’t until her own relationship with food suffered after a period in the modelling industry that she decided to continue her academic journey at uni to study nutrition. Using her knowledge of nutrition and her love of food, English has taken social media by storm, creating recipes that are delicious and balanced. Sharing her knowledge with millions of followers, she makes healthy eating a joy rather than a chore, with accessible and achievable recipes grounded in nutritional science. She is also the founder of Epetõme (epetome. com), a supplement designed to support gut health.
In Live to Eat, English simplifies healthy eating with more than 80 new recipes that are not only nutritionally balanced but also easy-to prep and, most importantly, incredibly delicious. Below, we've picked our favourite breakfast, lunch and dinner options to give you some mealtime inspo.
Fluffy Cinnamon Protein French Toast
This is one of my all-time favourite egg recipes. It’s good for any time of day. It's all made in one pot - so nice and easy on the washing up! The combination of the spicy chorizo and tomato sauce is a winner, while you can dip a slice of sour dough bread into the runny yolk. It’s also a good way of using up any soft herbs in the fridge.
