Abstract, playful and “very present”, the new Flowerlace pieces from Van Cleef & Arpels are like nothing the Maison has done in the recent past, says the house’s CEO, Catherine Rénier at the launch of the collection in Scotland
When it comes to luxury, some of the most appealing creations tick not one but two or more boxes. Van Cleef & Arpels’ latest Flowerlace collection is one such versatile, multifaceted range, which offers wearers plenty of options.
Are these jewellery stunners floral-shaped or flowing ribbon forms? A little bit of both, says Van Cleef & Arpels CEO, Catherine Rénier. Tapping on two themes that Van Cleef & Arpels regularly revisits, Flora and couture, the statement pieces in yellow gold with diamonds may bring to mind a Van Cleef & Arpels High Jewelry set in white gold, which similarly combines the inspiration of lace’s lightness and nature’s lithesome blooms. But the actual references are much older: Fleur Silhouette clips from Van Cleef & Arpels from 1937.
Fast forward to September 2025, the house’s new Flowerlace collection can be said to be even more Van Cleef & Arpels than the pieces that have come before it. There is a Between the Finger ring, a style synonymous with the Maison. The large model of the Flowerlace pendant is a transformable creation, and can be worn also as a clip — changeable jewels are another signature of the house, Rénier quickly points out.
Rénier tells L'OFFICIEL SINGAPORE all about the Maison’s latest Flowerlace collection below. This story is from the September 2025 edition of L'OFFICIEL Singapore.
