Piaget rides a new wave with the launch of the Sixtie watch collection.

For the 2025 Watches and Wonders edition, Piaget unveiled Sixtie, a new series of trapeze watches emerging from the Maison’s rich historical tapestry. The moniker — Sixtie — is a good giveaway as any, channelling the flamboyance of the transformative decade which left an indelible mark on the landscape of design and desire in an era of self-expression. As the winds of change swept through the late 1960s, Piaget, ever the vanguard of innovation, adopted this spirit with a passion for reshaping the contours of precious pieces and women’s watches.

Especially pivotal was 1969 for Piaget and the watchmaking universe. Guided by the motto, “Do what has never been done before,” the Piaget family unveiled their 21st-century collection at the Basel Fair. A brilliant vision that marked an evolution and a seismic shift thereafter, Piaget reinvented the jewellery watch, helmed by talented designer Jean-Claude Gueit, seeking to blur the lines between watchmaking and the art of jewellery.
