Before they were busy creating custom looks for celebs like Bad Bunny, Kacey Musgraves, and Troye Sivan, this design duo (and romantic couple!) spent much of 2020 hand-embroidering bags and t-shirts in their apartment. Now known for their embellishments like over-the-top bows, they're looking back while looking forward: "We pull inspiration from interior design and historical time periods," says Kasell. "Because of old class systems and lack of diversity and LGBTQ+ acceptance, most of the population never got to enjoy some of the details of the past. It's fun to bring back petticoats and bloomers and make them applicable to today's customer."
