As the Euros kick off in Switzerland, reigning champions England and underdogs Wales dream of glory...
There's a festival of football as Europe's finest women players arrive in Switzerland for the start of Euro 2025. The action begins on Wednesday with Iceland v Finland (kick-off 5pm, ITV1), but fans here must wait until Saturday 5 July to see the home nations in action, as England line up against France and Wales take on the Netherlands.
The Lionesses are defending the title they won in 2022, while Wales made history by qualifying for their first-ever major tournament. Both sides have a tough draw alongside strong Dutch and French teams in Group D, from which only two nations will qualify for the knockout phases.
If they do progress, England or Wales could meet World Cup winners Spain, who beat England in the 2023 final, and eight-time Euro champions Germany, who England famously beat at Wembley to clinch the 2022 title. This year's final takes place in Basel on Sunday 27 July.
