What To Wear Now
The Hollywood Reporter India
|October 2025
From linen kurtas and thrifted Madras shirts to mismatched socks, here's what actors, producers and creators across the film industry are wearing to work this month
Actor Regena Cassandrra, known for her roles in Tamil films such as Vidaamuyarchi (2025), Telugu ones such as Awe (2018) and Hindi series' including Rocket Boys (2022) finds that personal style must keep up with the demands of her profession — but comfort remains king.
“What I wear depends entirely on how early or late I wake up,” she says. “If I’ve slept in, I get ready in five minutes. But if I wake up on time and squeeze in a workout, then I take time to decide what I want to wear.” Her everyday look? “Loose linen pants with crop tops, T-shirts, and shorts — it’s all about how I feel that day.”
A real-life Carrie Bradshaw, Cassandrra confesses to owning over 120 pairs of shoes. “Shoes take up most of my wardrobe — it spills into my room,” she laughs. From juttis by Fizzy Goblet to her go-to Birkenstocks during the Mumbai monsoon, footwear is both expression and necessity. She gravitates toward sustainable clothing brands like Ozis, and while she doesn't chase labels, her growing watch collection — including a Cartier Panthère and an Omega — is now her most prized fashion treasure.
