Summer days can be great for your mood but tough on your eyes, says Dr. Shivani Kamat, an assistant professor in the department of ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology: “UV rays can damage tissues inside the eye, such as the cornea, lens and the retina.
