Lawo's mc² Mixing System: Elevating IP Audio Workflows with Immersive and Virtualized Innovation
Digital Studio
|October 2025
The Lawo mc² audio mixing platform continues to evolve as a cornerstone of modern broadcast and live production workflows. With their compact footprint and high-density DSP capabilities, the mc²36 xp, mc²56, and mc²96 have become the go-to consoles for global and regional events—from OB vans to immersive theater installations—where precision, flexibility, and IP-native integration are essential.

ENHANCED PROCESSING POWER AND VISUAL FEEDBACK
The latest software release 12.2 introduces significant upgrades to the mc² platform. The expanded EQ module now includes three dynamic bands per channel, complementing the existing four static parametric bands. This enhancement enables more nuanced and dynamic control over tonal shaping, particularly useful in fast-paced live environments and multi-format broadcast setups.
Operators benefit from new channel strip displays, offering up to three mini-displays per strip for even more real-time visual feedback. Combined with decentralized touch control and programmable fader user buttons, these features support distributed workflows and dual-operator configurations—ideal for complex productions such as multilingual broadcasts or hybrid live-streamed events.
