Splashing about on a kayak with her son, Phoenix, and husband, Carter Reum, Paris Hilton was the picture of contentment during a getaway to St. Barts over the US Thanksgiving weekend that also included their daughter, London. The happy family scene was one that was previously unimaginable just a few short years ago, when Hilton was better known for her jetsetter lifestyle, whirlwind romances and boozy nights out on the town.

"Watching Carter be the sweetest dad, Phoenix discover the world and little London shine brighter every day, it's the kind of love I dreamed of my whole life," the 44-year-old gushed on social media.

Back in 2000, the New York Post described Hilton as an "outrageous" model who had "a tendency to flash her thong".
