Forget back-to-the-gym promises and a renewed dedication to flossing.

Resolutions are boring; we'd rather make a wish list — or, to reference Taylor Swift, Wish Li$t. For example: “In her real life as an actual human, I hope Taylor lives happily ever after,” deputy executive editor Erin Strecker says of the soon-to-be Mrs. Travis Kelce. “In her music life, I hope she goes back to her sad-girl era; I need a Tortured Poets redux!”

Music editor Eliza Thompson’s one wish is for Queen Bey to giddyup. “At the risk of sounding greedy, give us Act III!” she says of the album trilogy that began with Renaissance. “I buy the theory that it'll be rock-forward, but I love the competing rumor that it'll be gospel, or that Beyoncé will meld the two. Let’s be real, I'd take anything. If she wants to go ambient drone, I’ll eat it up!”
