NERVY newsman Scott Pelley's stunning on-air rebuke of CBS' corporate overlords during a recent 60 Minutes broadcast has plunged the lauded program into chaos and disrepute, according to stunned sources.

Insiders proclaim that the TV journalist's decision to air the show's dirty laundry and blast Paramount Global — CBS' parent company — for allegedly meddling in news production has endangered the vaunted program's credibility and inflicted an injury on the 57-year-old brand from which it might never recover.

"It's chaos behind the scenes; 60 Minutes was one of the last sacred brands left on TV — and now it's bleeding credibility faster than we can patch it up," a longtime CBS staffer confides to The National ENQUIRER.

"People here are scared. If 60 Minutes can be compromised, then nothing is safe!"
